Best Tyre Prices

I'm looking for a set of 195/55/16 87v tyres. Probably looking at Goodyear. Where's best to buy from?

Most independent tyre shops will probably match or bet internet prices. Try your local, see what they say.

mytyres always claim they're stock is in Oxfordshire and will be with you tomorrow, often it's in Germany and will be with you in two weeks. No explanation or apology is given. They are cheap though and have literally hundreds of brands from all over the place.

I find it's best if you have a daughter who works for one of the biggest tyre importers/distributors and can get Daddy a price of cost +4%. And free fitting, but I always contribute a goodly chunk to the tea club.

This is pretty much what I've found. I usually price up the tyres I want on Mytyres, Blackcircles, Tyre-Shopper etc. and end up getting the same price (or close enough for me) at the local indie (or Costco). If you look at Camskill, remember you'll need to factor in shipping and fitting, unless you get mates rates somewhere.

I know the company, strong next day service if you just want tyres, lack of fitting is a big negative.

I've used them and they are fine. A lot of these sites seem to be just a billing/invoice service since they use the same fitters.

Is Tyreleader definitely French? I've just had a some tyres from them (two for my car and one for my bike) and they all came from Germany.

Very competitive and fitted at my work.
Hassle free.
I like to keep my life as simple as i can.

Assuming you mean wholesale cost+4% you'll find people like cam aren't selling at that much more in popular patterns / sizes!

Not necessarily, Jon. My BIL used to work as a driver for a tyre distributor and he could get something like 2 or 3 sets a year super cheap - on one occasion a set of Firestones for his C5 at £15 a corner!

After he'd used up his allowance of those, he could still get tyres at a reasonable discount, like the pair he got for me once. By the time I'd paid for fitting, I ended up saving not very much and that was about ten years ago.

I think prices are much more competitive now!!

Kwik Kit actually beat black circles and etyres on a pair of Conti Sport Contact 5's for my CLK. The added bonus is that they were up the road and i had them fitted in the hour.
