TVRCC Home counties: Croydon, car show, 29th June
Discussion
Hi folks
We did this event with some folks from Cambs and East Midlands TVRCC last year and had a great time
out, so let's do it again!
The event this year is on the 29th of June, starting at 1200 and running until 1630 or so. The details
are as follows...
Croydon Village Classic Vehicle Show, South Cambridgeshire
Look beyond the present incessant rain to this year’s super Croydon Village Classic Vehicle Show
and Fete.
With about 90 vehicles last year this show has become a highlight in the regional summer calendar,
yet retaining its quaint charm. Once again all monies raised will go towards the running of our village
hall and restoration of our beautiful mediaeval church of All Saints which will of course form part of
the day’s programme.
For those who don't already know, Croydon is a small village set on a south facing hillside in beautiful
South Cambridgeshire countryside. The village lies about 7miles north of Royston on the A1198 and
about 1 mile west of Arrington. The show is held in a lovely setting opposite the church and with lots
of food, stalls, drinks, plants, games and arena activities there will be lots to do for the whole family,
including parades of vehicles, judging and Prizes to be presented by the inimitable Danny Hopkins
Editor of Practical Classics! There will also be a World War 1 theme in this centennial year so feel free
to mark this in any suitable way.
Note Show Cars & Drivers enter FREE. Show car arrivals from 10.30 a.m. and before noon, please.
No need to stay home for breakfast as this year there will be bacon butties and tea/coffee available
near the signing in desk.
If you are interested, please put your name below in the usual way

Thanks, Alex
