Guys. I bought a OBD II scanner for my Noble m 400. Unfortunately it keeps telling me that it can't read the cats ECU

My ECU is a MBE. What can I do? ? Is it possible to read diagnostics. I need it for harry's lap timer

Thanks

Whilst there is an ODB connector I'm not sure it does anything.

You need to use the 9 pin D connector and ECU PC software to read the ecu

Thanks Green3r

My aim is to use a software like harry's lap timer while I'm on the track. I just want t have read outs and not alter anything.

However, once you have mentioned it, from where would it be possible to obtain the software for the serial port?? And what parameters would I have access to?

Lastly, I have a MBE ECU - honestly not sure if this is the standard or if it is an aftermarket installed by previous owner. Is this ECU re-programmable/tunable??

Keith

Sorry for all the questions - but I get no help here in Malta on this car
THanks

facebook group should be able to provide you a link to the software.

I'll check my ODB port tomorrow with scanner and see what comes out....

At the start of this I had the impression that ODB port wasn't active, however I did find this link

http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&...

which would suggest otherwise...

Thanks Green3R

My mechanic has inspected the port and it seems that it is only fed by 3 wires... so i AM pretty sure it would not function that way.

Moreover, I have a MBE ECU but not sure of the type. Maybe that link refers to a different ECU

Did anyone ever find that this port is OBDII and works like the the link suggests?
