993 Turbo Alarm Problem has locked doors
Discussion
Has anybody experienced this or have any idea how to over come the problem.
1997 993 Turbo had the CTEK charger unknowingly was turned off and the battery drained. Car was unlocked in garage, when sat in to start it became obvious there was no charge, I did not attempt to press alarm dimple or start the car. Instead I re connected the ctek and turned it on to charging mode. The alarm started to "chirp" the doors locked and it has been chirping and sometime sounding (it will stop with alarm fob press, the alarm not the chirping) but the doors will not unlock - it is as if it is deadlocked.
I suspect the battery is now fully charged but the alarm still chirps and the door locks remain solid. The alarm is a PA2000 OE fit.
I suspect I must disconnect te battery to remove the door deadlock, how do i get the the hood pull from outside the car?
Thanks in anticipation

Has the C-Tek gone to green as it were to suggest the battery is fully charged? This has happened to mine before and the OEM alarm does all types of odd behaviour with a very flat battery...Ive always managed to unlock the passenger door with the key though...
My issues have probably been compounded by having to fit another 'approved'alarm since the Porsche one wasnt recognised by my many insurers at the time.

Thank you all for your advice and offers of help. Hopefully I am on the way to a solution. On AW10's comment about no electronic deadlock on 993 I turned the key to the point where I feared breaking it, the lock rolled over and the door unlocked. Hood now popped battery disconnected and on charge. Hoping all will reset when re-connected.
Thanks for the offer of telephone support Tanterman but I don't know how to do PMs (or unlock a car door either it seems).
Thanks again

I thought I was "out of the woods", but not quite it seems. All is now good except the driver's door won't open unlock. The alarm is working fine, flashing the door lights and indicators. the remote locking works fine on the passenger door. The only way to open the driver door is from the inside. Have tried being fairly brutal with the key to unlock at it won't budge. There is no solenoid noise from the driver door. Any ideas chaps?
Any signs that the lock has been forced with a screwdriver or the like in the past?
I suspect removal of the door handle is the next step. First the door panel needs to come out - see http://p-car.com/diy/ard/
After that carefully peel back the plastic membrane in the handle area and you'll see the handle. Two small screws hold the black plastic cover over the lock mechanism and then you can remove the nuts that hold the handle in place.
