Apparently registered as an Elan? And £15k!!!

Oh dear. At least it has a Lotus engine. (Rocker cover anyway!)

It's back again here

It's blatant misrepresentation, quote "lotus 7 totally rebuilt using new and secondhand parts,1968 model year so tax exempt.rebuilt using lotus élan classic parts using original engine v5 states lotus elan". The V5 shows it as a 1968 Lotus Elan Coupe, and I'd like to know which Elan parts were used in its "reconstruction", certainly not the engine, chassis or suspension.

I'm not well up on Locusts/Locosts; what is it really and what would a fair price be (not £12,995 certainly)?

It's also being discussed in General Gassing.

I seem to recall I sold my Locust for £2700 13 years ago!
I should have kept it. It looks to have appreciated better than my pension.
