offer accepted on 996GT2 so here goes with ownership of scary monster, Itll be first Porsche ive owned 620bhp, so itll make my Supercharged Griff feel like a pussy, albeit a nice one.
Mind you i owned a 2012 shelby Gt pumping out 560bhp with a live rear axle and never lost her.
Looks like i,ll need a couple of days on an open track to get used to driving this baby.Anybody out there give me some guidance
cheers jim

Congrats
Warm up the tires before hitting the loud pedal. They are scary in wet conditions.
Pictures or it didn't happen.

Understood once i have the car i will post, I had inspection by Brian Duff Jasmine Porsche who praised the cars condition no nastys bit of minor tart ups
What mods has the car had to get to 620bhp, as that is well over factory output?
Deffo warm the tyres and the gearbox oil, once warmed up the car is really dialled in, when cold not so good. Check the dates on the tyres also, my old MPS2's had loads of tread, almost looked like new but were well past their best as over 7 years old when I purchased the car, never really came up to grip. New tyres and all was sorted.
Small inputs on the accelerator if you don't want to be in 3 figures on the motorway.
Pictures are a must. Few of us meeting up at Supercar Sunday, if you are going pop along for a chat.

upgraded coil overs.
brand new set of Michelin P,2s o hours, noisy front brakes ceramics other than that report came back praising car and owner
brake rotors looked ok so were the noise is coming from who knows.
Question how hard is the suspension and does the steering wheel adjust.
I,m in Singapore and maybe have a chance to sit in one as i,m 6,7inch and had plenty room in 998 turbo
Sounds like it's had some very nice parts fitted, should drive very well. Was it Rob's old car, advertised at caraholics that you went for?
Steering wheel has a small amount of adjustment, same as other 996 models. Yes the suspension is hard, but not to the point it's not working, it's one of the things I like about the car actually as it gives so much feedback.
Enjoy the new purchase and as KAL said, welcome to the "club"

No you run out travel on the runners before the roll cage becomes an issue.
Cheers as im 6-7 and just squeeze in my Griff obvious to try sit in car first but ive limited time home guess i can make it work Brian Duff who inspected car summary as follows hr feels no problem with room as he is 5-10 and had 7 inches spare head room , i fit in a 997 turbo but seat is fully adjustablehere is quote from inspection
"The car was a delight to inspect. It is rare to see a 10 year old car in such good condition. Yes it has been resprayed and the paint is thick (up to 70 micron) but there is no evidence of accident damage.
It has been modified with different coil overs, turbos, exhaust etc and give a tremendous power output (estimated at 620bhp) however this does not detract from normal road driving. I road tested the car in heavy rain and mist and it behaved perfectly. Yes it will spin the wheels in 2nd and 3rd gear in the wet but if you drive it normally it is fine.
The car has been looked after, interior is in excellent condition. The alcantara sports seats hold you in and the rear stainless steel roll cage is a useful safety addition. The current owner has spent a lot of time and money to keep the car in this excellent condition."
yes it is Robs car wife is giving me s

Do tell...... You sold the 997tt already !!!!!
Saw a car I wanted but wouldn't do a deal while I hadn't even advertised my current car. Popped an ad on last weekend and 6 hours later I had a deposit (yes, I think it was a little to cheap also). Completed Saturday but in the interim a deal was done on the other car. That's the story

I drove past you Sunday morning, in Petworth. Then saw your car on the grid Sunday. That car is lovely, a credit to you. I presume the blue GT2 CS, is your mates? Stunning!!!
