The 12v plug in my car is permanently live.

I would like to have this off when the ignition is off, as i know one day i will forget to unplug the satnav and i will come back to a flat battery or something.

Is there such a product around?

A 3 way voltage sensitive plug that turns off when less than 13v, and back on when its 14v or so?

Why not just rewire it to ignition live? Or fit a relay switched by ignition live?

This does what you need;

ETA

<Strokes beard> Is there a market for putting one of these in a fag lighter plug??? Maybe with a 5v USB outlet as well?

Quite a lot of modern vehicles don't have "ign live" easily available in the old-fashioned way as each component is live full time and takes instructions on when to activate from canbus. This can mean you have to find a suitable point in a fusebox.

Hence why I suggested the second option. Fit a relay in the permanent live line and use any ignition switched feed to trigger it. The radio will have one, even on a modern canbus car.

Canbus cars won't necessarily have a ignition live to the head unit. Vw certainly don't grrrr

Your best bet for an ignition live source to connect a relay to is the hvac motor
