Hi folks, got stopped for speeding the other day (oops) and during formalities, one of the cops pointed out that the front nearside tyre on my 6 month old M135i is going bald around the outside edge. They said I may have hit a pothole which has affected the tracking.

Can anyone recommend anywhere and give me an idea of cost?

I called a place in Rutherglen and the chap was very helpful. The only downside is that he quoted me between £45 and £60, advising that given what I've described, it will probably be at the lower end of the price scale to have the front wheels laser tracked.

Unsure if this was expensive, I called my local Kwik Fit who quoted around £35

The tyres on my car are run flats I believe...if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance,

Martin

The title says balanced and the post says tracking? Which is it?

My mistake - it was tracking which I got sorted at Kwik Fit yesterday £30 something but worth it as the left wheel was way out!

Fingers crossed getting the front nearside wheel done will do the job for me. The outside edge of my front nearside tyre was loosing tread. The Kwik Fit guy was actually really helpful, showing me the extent to which that tyre was out of alignment.
