Took the car home, all well until I turn the engine off and the coolant system is gurgling away.

Popped the bonnet and air was pissing put the expansion tank cap.

I'm off to bed, I'll use the appropriate adjustment device (hammer). failing that, order a new cap tomorrow.

Now to fight over who gets the clio in the morning laugh

I got one of these the other week. Very lovely indeed and no hammer required!

I recently replaced my cap, not that the old one was causing any issues..it just looked old, so replaced with a shiny new 15psi LR cap.

I haven't seen one of these pressure release caps before. Are they any good, reliable, don't leak?

I had issues despite a new standard cap with expansion tank loss. Fitted one of these pressure release caps and it's been as good as gold. Unscrewing it to check fluid levels is a doddle and I've had no water loss either. It also looks the part. Gets my vote.
