Not the most exciting thread, i'm afraid!

We have some tinned tuna, but I really dont want Tuna Mayonnaise. So, can the PH foodies come up with something a bit more.... exotic?

Tin of tomatoes, garlic, capers, olive oil flake in the tuna and you have a pasta sauce. If it's not tasty enough you can also dice a chilli or use chilli olive oil.

Mixing the tuna with chopped onion, balsamic vinegar and salad cream to taste makes a lovely filling for a jacket potato.

The most disgusting sounding recipe, but from the ages of 7 to about 20 it was what I would insist on having for dinner if given the choice! My mother found it in a recipe book Sainsbury's were giving away in the mid 80s. I rarely have it now, mainly because I'm embarrassed to admit to my girlfriend I would eat the below concotion, but also because I'm ashamed of the fact I could probably still polish off the entire dish in one sitting.

Serves 4

3 x tins of tuna
1 x tin of sweetcorn
200g petite pois
1 x tin cream of mushroom (or chicken) soup
1 x tin chopped plum tomatoes
Cheddar (for grating)
2 x Ready salted crisps, crushed

1. Heat oven to 180c
2. Combine the tuna, sweetcorn, peas and soup in a bowl, spoon into a baking dish and spread evenly.
3. Pour the tomatoes on top, but try not use all of the liquid from the tin.
4. Cover in grated cheddar
5. Sprinkle the crisps over the top
6. Bake for 30 minutes
