Does anyone else get a right cob on when they can't get out on the bike?

I had a load of jobs to do today and was like an ogre around the house till my wife told me to feck off out on that fecking bike before she killed me.

Quick 40km later and I feel great! She's still in a mood with me though. Should have done 80km then she would have felt better too biggrin

Steve

Edit to add: first ride all week as I was away with work.

Yep lovely day for it today, lots of people o it and about riding this morni g and I'm not allowed near my bikes for another 7 days, according to the doc. To be honest it's too painfull to wall let alone ride. Anyway been to by her in doors to cheer up or I can go home on my own lol. And yes it's beacause everyone else is out enjoying their bikes and I can't, well grumpy!

Lol, i cant get thirty minutes on the rollers at home before someone demands a nappy change!.... Riding the bike outside on a road seems a lifetime away!

Yup, right arse ache today because I had to tackle the gardens - I think I have had the lowest mileage week this year for various reasons which compounded my grumpiness.....was hoping to get out for an hour but alas it was not to be.

On the upside I should be doing a bit of cycling in Spain next week! smile

Love your post Steve!
I get it too - didn't go out today because I went for a long run yesterday and my quads are shagged. Hoping to get an easy social ride in tomorrow with the lads and then flog myself on hill repeats on Monday. Will be a sulky tt if I don't get my way!

I try and get out every day even if just 15k to hammer the local segments. Only takes 40 mins inc getting ready and shower.

Ran tonight so at least got some exercise. Also did gardening all day.

The proper science answer is that you get a high from completing an athletic thing. The endorphins kick in. We're (Humans) addicted to that so essentially when you are being mardy. You are craving a "fix" like some Heroin junkie. laugh

I wonder if in the future when smoking is obsolete from the world. Whether employees will be going outside for 5 mins every hour or so to ride a Turbo Trainer to get their hourly hit of endorphins biggrin
