Which antifreeze - 1.8 K series VHPD head
Discussion
As the title really - Is its the traditional green or the red OATS stuff?
Also I notices the steering wheel moved in and out about an inch, which I traced to a connection in the steering column just onside the engine bay at which point it appears to be joined by a bracket with two bolts on one side ad allen key arrangement on the other The bolts were only hand tight so I nipped them up Is this OK to do, or have I done something dreadfully wrong, for example they are supposed to be loose, or they need to be in a specific position before tightening, rather than just where the wheel feels comfortable?
Thanks
I use the red Oats stuff for anti freeze and don't seem to have had any problems over the years. The steering column clamp should have the two small bolts nipped up with the large grub screw in the middle of the large nut then tightened to secure the column from sliding. The two small bolts simply keep the clamp halves together. When the grub screw is tightened in to hold the column, this is then locked in place by the large nut.

no sliding happening now, so I guess its OK. on close inspection I appear to have blue/green coolant in,but a think mix, possibly as the care has most recently been in Italy, so have topped up with this
If you have a Mix and you don't know the last time it was changed, drain.....flush......re-fill with New Antifreeze as per manufactures specification no sliding happening now, so I guess its OK. on close inspection I appear to have blue/green coolant in,but a think mix, possibly as the care has most recently been in Italy, so have topped up with this
