Liverpool - where to eat & drink?
Discussion
Myself and the OH are going to Liverpool for tuesday, coming back on Wednesday.
Any reccomendations for where to have a meal and then go onto for drinks afterwards? We like anything other than Italian...
We're only 30 so not too old! Staying at the Richmond if it makes any difference.
Many thanks,

Red Hot World buffet in Liverpool One is brilliant, or maybe Tso's if you fancy a Chinese buffet. If you have the budget Etsu Japanese restaurant is really good. For drinks, it's not to everybodys taste but Little Coopers by Central Station is brilliant for people watching at the karaoke

Have spent the last six months working in Liverpool, my fav places to eat:
Bar & Grill
Chaophraya
Gusto
Blue Bar & Grill

I saw lots of suggestions for Camp & Furnace the other day. I'm intrigued - had anyone been? The website is currently down and I can't really get an idea of what it's about from various pics on twitter and fbook.
It's like some sort of night club with shows and fairly simple looking BBQ food?
Looks pretty cool - always booked up tho - tried going last week and the lady on the phone said you should book a few days in advance.

Got to disagree about the Red Hot buffet Purity.
We've been several times, great selection of food including mussels, pizza, sushi etc Freshly cooked and replenished, plates cleared from your table regularly and if you go for the lunchtime it's only a tenner! Been to the Manchester one and that wasn't as good.

I haven't been back to Liverpool for a couple of years. When i clicked on that my first thought was that they had recreated the revolving restaurant in the Radio City Tower!!Glocko said:

It isn't really a place you'd go to if you were just visiting for the night with your missus.
I'm sure there are far better options open in such a vibrant city.
For what it's worth, I've eaten at Red Hot and it was average across the board with 'Anglicised' renditions of the respective cuisines.
