Car out of hibernation - few issues

Any help/advice really appreciated
Battery was dead so new one fitted but still a couple of issues. Wiper parking switch disintegrated when I tried to clean it up so new on ordered.
Also have a coolant leak and air lock (getting this sorted next week)

1. Sometimes from cold fuel pump primes but car won’t turn over, can hear a relay clicking and sounds like starter solenoid clicking? Then try again car turns slow then normal and catches no prob. Seems pretty random to what it decides to do. ? 100 amp fuse?

2. Once it started went quick run (5 miles) down a country road all fine till I went to put back in garage. Going into garage gave a bit of revs but get pop (like a backfire from exhaust) from engine and hesitation till I eased off accelerator.

I also get the 'click but nothing' on mine usually if the battery is not fully topped up.

I think it's the started solenoid not engaging, probably dirty.

Over a period of months my cranking got slower and slower. I assumed it was the battery as the car was often left for weeks at a time with no battery conditioner. occasionally she'd need jump starting. However, after a quick blatt the battery was (or seemed) back to strength. Then on one occasion back in December she turned over once then clicked madly. All the charging in the world wasn't making it crank properly. Had a new starter motor fitted and it cranked like a whirling dervish Amazing difference....

Went back up and removed the battery and will charge overnight- not sure if the factors keep them fully charged ?
