A stone has smashed my drivers side headlight and am going through the stage of what are my options.

If I want to keep the original look and buy a new unit my guess is it's going to look a bit odd which probably means replacing both sides.

Or is calling TVR Dean an option and try buying a replacement old one?

I am useless at trying the repair myself so it will have to be fitted by someone who knows what they are doing(Is that an expensive job)?

If the answer to my question expensive job is YES,could be several hundreds then am I better to tread into the minefield of MK3,lupo or Steve Edwards conversion.

Is there much price difference between these options? I have been told that the MK3 done by the Pro's is £680 + vat is Lupo cheaper than this? Lupo seem's to be not loved by many,my view is that it suits the darker cars better(Which mine is) with the exception of an Orange one I have seen which I think looks fantastic.

I just had an unexpected large bill so my gut feeling is that I would like to get this repair done with as little outlay as possible.

To summarize: If trying to source a secondhand one and getting it fitted still ends up being around £300 am I best to swallow the bill and have a full all new upgrade?

I think it is quite straight forward personally to replace the headlight glass. The shroud is held on by 2 bolts and the glass by sikaflex. Be interested to see how much the usual breakers want for the glass....
