Seems we talk tyres a lot here, maybe we need a sub folder? Ok ok I admit it, I am a tyre junkie, but you must admit we've spoken lots about tyres recently, it surely deserves it's own genre?

I think that is a great idea, it will be full of tyre bores and geeks tho...

See you there smile

I agree! I think it would be an extremely worthwhile addition as a sub-forum.

I've posted on lots of tyre threads, and like you (and many other PH'ers) I am more than a bit anal and ocd when it comes to tyres. Not just about what tyre is best for whatever - but even in detail like the development, testing and manufacture of tyres.

It's a source of massive, anorak-style interest to me biggrin

Also, we often get a thread asking about 'what tyre' for a specific car or application - with a question that has been answered before.

With a tyre sub-forum, posters can look at the forum first and get info before posting.

A great idea thumbup

Mods? What do you reckon?

Yes a very good idea but also needs to have some sort of rating and review section like tyrereviews does.

And all the winter tyre threads would go there? Sounds great.

True, but different cars need different tyres. Some cars are super sensitive. Some could run on duct tape.

From my drive, wrecked MGF Trophy on Ling Long Not For Long wrecked, winter turbo shed Seat with 4 different sh@t tyres. Corners fine. All different brand and tread patterns but it just seems to stick to the road. Weird. Bought for far less than a set of tyres before i get berated and was only supposed to last till about now. Going strong and surprisingly rapid. Looking likely to pass an MOT and remain in use at present. Top car park commute mobile. Dents who cares...

There's one on my site, but no one bothers with it smile

I'd happily keep on top of a sticky in general gassing to help out the forum, but when I suggested it to PH costs were involved.
