I thought I would just put down my experience in my C63. I have had it just over 6 months, it had a DMS remap on it which gives approx 520-530 bhp. I have just fitted a brand new set of vredstien sessantas and am just coming to the end of a three day tour in Wales with a group of friends/ fellow hooners. 996 turbo with nearly 700 bhp, GTR with nearly 600, a couple,of M5's, a GT3 RS, a megane sport and a 450 bhp Audi S2.
The handling of the car when you are really pushing on is sublime. The grip it offers keeps,up with everything on this tour. Maybe the brakes (standard ) could do with being a bit better, but they never let me down. The power and shear pulling power beggars belief.
So far we have done about 450 miles and I have been averaging 8mpg. Worth every penny. These cars are totally 100% awesome.

Petrolhead Nirvana?

C63 is a great car for touring like that and easily holds its own as you say. When I had mine and took it on such a tour to Norway last year it won "best noise" at the end of the week smile

i just went with some fellow hardcore petrolheads. 9 of us in total.
the vreds are awesome, cant believe how well they grip. total of 920 miles over the three days at an average if 10.6 mpg !!
Had a few moments when the car went into safe mode, no power at all, maximum speed 20mph. put it down to trans oil temp. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a cure? This was mainly on hard up hill slogs chasing down the others. Amazing.

Cooling has been an issue on the facelift cars. Something to do with the position of radiators and venting iirc.
