Noble M12..How Good?

I'm not an expert on Noble, but I have always liked the look of the older M12 GTO. Prefer it to the newer cars! This has the 3 litre Ford V6 + turbo I believe?
What sort of power/performance would a typical example have, rather than manufacturers claims?
I recently purchased a TVR 420 SEAC, as I love the old Wedges. But I came quite close to purchasing a Noble instead.
So just curious what I am missing out on? It still may be my next weekend car, who knows.

The chassis is extremely good, faintly reminiscent of the Exige/Elise in terms of setup. The engine does the job if you don't mind the rather old-fashioned turbo setup. It's certainly not lacking performance.
The styling is obviously a personal thing; it's certainly not a car for people who want to blend in. The interior is... adequate. The driving position is reasonable and the dials are all well positioned and easy to read. It's not pretty or remotely "soft-touch" but I suspect the dashboard-huggers would reject the car for any number of other reasons, anyway.

I remember when they were first out, i saw them everywhere. There were almost as many at trackdays as there were GT3s. Yet in the last few years, i've seen one - in a gym car park.

I own one and there's a lot of us on here. I've driven a lot of things and it's still simply the best out-and-out road car I've driven for involvement, pace, presence. It's not a vehicle for a shrinking violet though.
Have a go in one or better still have someone take you out in one because they take a while to learn. A great escape from electrickery of modern cars, no ABS, no DSC, just a good chassis and a decent power-to-weight ratio.

The 'no electrickery' appeals.. and in that respect, is similar to the SEAC.
If I do decide to change, a Noble is definitely number 1 on my list.
I have had mine for 7 years and it still puts a smile on my face.Generally these cars are pretty reliable mileage in my opinion is not much of an issue (mines on 84k with original clutch,gearbox,discs)like most things depends how you drive it.As others have said not for a shrinking violet for the money not many cars out there that will turn as many heads is my opinion and if you value driving over a nice interior etc go drive one you wont be dissapointed
