Is it unusual for a 2007 turbo cab to have no mot history on the dvla system.

The car in question is this?

Has anyone viewed it?

There is also no service history from 2009, as has only done 3000 miles since?

Is it too good to be true?

Its a great price given that's its a cab, has PCCBs and only 18k miles. Looks a good spec, leather backed seats, though not sure about the yellow stitching.

Maybe too good to be true, would need to ask the usual searching questions ...

Why does '18000 MILES GENUINE' jump out at me?

Get it inspected properly.

I'd be looking elsewhere personally.

Also after having done the MOT history check, these seems to be no previous MOT history, again strange

Be careful, there is likely a story here. It might just have been in storage, but tread with care.

When did the MOT history start to be available? It may have been in storage and not been MOT'd for a few years, as would match with the lack of servicing. I guess this is why it is cheap?. Get it checked carefully, if you are planning to keep it, could be a bit of a billy bargain.

My 2004 car has all the MOT history available BUT I could only find it via the previous registration number so if this car has been on a private plate you may have to search using it or a previous MOT reference number.

Have you spoken to the dealer? There could be a perfectly acceptable reason for the apparent lack of use or documentation? ...or they could just feed you with lies!

One thing I do know is that if it is a good deal it will be gone!

It is not advertised by a dealer, its a personal car as I am told...getting too many stories.

Do your own HPI check. The VOSA record will not show a Cat"C" or "Cat"D" if it has been repaired. However, the HPI will. The HPI will also give the previous registrations allowing you to track MOT's.

I was almost caught like this on a declared Cat "C" which I found to be Cat"D" after doing an HPI.

Advert reads as though its written by a dealer not private. May be SOR. May need to establish who you'd be buying from!
