Anybody watch Parking Mad BBC1 last Thursday?
There was something on there I couldnt figure out, there was a T junction shown with a No Left turn, ie as you approached the Junction (the approach from a one way street by the way), the road it joined was a regular two way traffic street, cars passing from right to left, and across the road, left to right, but there was a No left turn sign. The approach road wasnt offset or anything, just a regular T junction.
Waiting just down the road was the camera van waiting to catch people turning left, which was into the flow of traffic. To turn right meant having to wait for a gap in the oncoming traffic in order to cross the road.
The more I thought of it, the only explanation I came was that it was a ploy to catch cars turning left, and being ticketed, and making money for the council.
There was a bunch of bikers there reminding drivers not to turn left, and the van was just down the road.
Any ideas, and where the road was. It just intrigues me that I cant work it out.
Last episode is on tonight BBC1 9pm.
