TVR 420 SEAC

Hi, I wasn't sure if my TVR Wedge would be of that much interest to folk..but I was asked about further information on it, so here goes...& and a few pics.

This is my 2nd TVR SEAC, (my 1st was a 450 4.5L V8), this I purchased 10 weeks ago.

Engine is a 5L V8

ACT Carbon Plenum, enlarged carbon trumpets, enlarged inlet manifold & throttle body, ported cylinder heads, Kent 218 camshaft, 300bhp, 337 Ib ft torque.

Stainless Steel 'sport' JP Exhaust

304mm AP racing discs, Bremsport 4 pot light calipers.

Part carbon fibre body

Full Rose Jointed suspension

Completely restored inside and out.

Car has been featured in various TVR history books and a couple of TVR/Sprint magazine articles.

Can't imagine it would be the sort of car you would want to drive around a library?

Appreciate the prompt.

Wheels were a one off special order from Image wheels. They are identical to the original wheels, but 9.0" x 17" instead of 15"

This is ace, what a sound too. I love the interior on these, the centre console, the dials etc, I just think they look ace.

Given the power output of your car with the mods, I can only assume TVR were totally exaggerating when they quoted their original power output of 300hp from the 4.2 version of the V8.

Also 340hp from the Griffith 500 - really??

Yes, video wasn't that great.. I plan to do a better one, a drive by next time.

Driving sounds wonderful..lots of pops & bangs on the overrun. Real goosebump stuff!

I think most accept that TVR were a little..'optimistic' when it came to their claimed power outputs.
