SAAB shed clutch dilemma

Way back through the mists of time, in those strangely superstitious days that preceded the turn of the century a worryingly long time ago, SAAB’s designers were seemingly given an unusual remit. Make cars, they must have been told, that do nothing particularly well but nothing particularly badly; cars that will serve as durable, cheap transport for the recession-battered drivers of the future. They were told, in short, to build sheds.
And boy, did they ever succeed. My 2.0 9-3 trundled off the production line some time in 2002 to almost universal indifference. It wasn’t fast, it couldn’t cling to the corners and its utterly nondescript looks ensured it never turned a single head.
Perfect then, as a 2010 purchase for local shed duties. And so it was. Shopping, bicycles, the dog, a set of ladders (it’s a convertible) were transported with ease as the trusty old Swede never missed a beat. Until, that is, now. Scant months before it was due for replacement its clutch has given up the ghost.
Which brings me to my dilemma: Although shed rules dictate the car should be consigned to the scrap heap, I can’t really be bothered looking for another. I’m not averse to fixing it if I can find a reasonably-priced clutch kit.
Is anyone able to suggest where I might find one please?

The fast fit clutch specialists will have you back on the road for a few £hundred, isn't worth the hassle of DIY, with a fair wind, it might just about last long enough! A relative had his Skoda done by Mr someone, first thing the dealer said when they were looking for a trade in was, there's something wrong with that clutch!

metal work teacher like Lancia Betas...we were taugh welding using school equipment/steel...

I had an awesome metal work teacher - Mr Neale if you're still out there - What ever happened to the slightly risque, dangerous but ultimately awesome DT teacher? Its what helped build the british empire - We made our own (as in designed and sand cast) 50 and 100cc Go kart engines and then welded up the chassis' to run them in! - Awesome times - got a photo of me and my school chums test driving them round the school tennis courts somewhere!reminds me of a story...

We also had a particularly passionate technology teacher who would let a few of us take part in more interesting projects that weren't strictly on the curriculum. He effectively ran two lessons, one for those who would listen and do things by the book and another for us who were clearly interested in all things DT related but not the approach as dictated by the school. As a result whilst most of the class were learning to do 3d sketches of buildings and design/build wooden bridges the group I was in got to draw F1 cars, built a Go cart which required a few fact finding missions to the local karting centre!
OP: do the clutch in the old beast and be grateful that you do not have a 2.2 TID with dual mass flywheel or an obscenely expensive fuel pump - what killed my last Saab!!
