Quietness in car?

Wanting a nice quiet car for 5 a.m.? It'll have to be the Lexus LS400 Ser 4 then!
My neighbour loves how it glides silently past!
AND you can get TWO golf bags in the boot.
But, it's not a Ferrari (cheaper to run, maintain, insure.......)

Surely an electric car is quieter still, and having no engine means it's the ultimate 5 am car.

I'm taking a guess at what this thread is about, as it's a little vague. You also mentioned golf, which is rubbish.

A little 1L ecoboost should be pretty quiet and if you were really concerned you could cut out the exhaust noise by attaching a hosepipe to the pipe and running it back inside.
