Shipping Car tyres costs?

Hi folks, not sure where to put this so went for the lounge, please move if wrong mods

I am selling winter tyres from my 350Z and have it on a forum and gumtree.

I have suggested local pickup but being in Aberdeenshire, obviously I am very far away from many, and postage quotes from DHL, Parcelforce and City link are all pretty High.

Looking at about £50 cheapest from City link, and that's as 4 parcels! DHL want £50 per set of 2, or £75 for all 4.

Obviously many decry this as bks and claim I can ship tyres for £2 with we steal your parcel . com

Has anyone got a decent courier etc that will take heavy things like tyres, I don't mind packing them up, probably as 2 parcels but its just so I know if I tell someone its £50 postage, that is the cheapest I can get it to them.

I have googled a fair few places but the only ones that are cheap I have found nothing but bad reviews, but as you are all aware, people expect everything to be shipped for 5 pence nowadays due to ebay.

How much do they weigh? In terms of packing, you don't need to put them "in" anything, whenever I've had tyres couriered to me they come as individual tyres with the address details on some paper wrapped in clear plastic around part of the tyre.

Camskill ship at £3 per tire. No idea who they use but they always get to me on time which is surprising given how cheap the shipping is.

I've used Paisley Shipping a few times, £35 for a full set of wheels and tyres up to Scotland from England.

Seems Monkey Parcel or whatever its called give you options of Parcelforce, City link etc.

City link can send 2 at a time for £13.

Hopefully its legit as reviews are mixed but if its through City link I am happier.

Parcel Monkey and Parcels2Go are both legit sites, both are resellers of carrier services.
