Cut/slice on tyre

Any idea how this happened? Is it due to curbing the wheel? It's just come back from MOT and this was the advisory.

I doubt a kerb would do that. Thin piece of metal debris maybe?

Ah fair do. Had no idea it was there, it's recent though as I washed my car 2 weeks ago. Absolutely no idea where I'd have done it though

Piece of metal on the road? Reinforcement jutting out of a curb slightly? Someone local prating around & only partial slashing tyre?

Discussing with a friend and he thinks it looks like a knife because of the clean cut. I've no idea but I assume it'll be fine since its only a mil deep?
