How do you get into the boot if the solenoid fails?
Mine is a facelift model (2000) so the usual emergency boot access isn't available. Hate to think you have to basically force it open.
if your battery is in the boot then possibly by pulling the switch out from under the dash and putting 12v on it from another source - most likely another battery.Mine is a facelift model (2000) so the usual emergency boot access isn't available. Hate to think you have to basically force it open.
If the solenoid is completely fubarred - good question

PM me with what you consider the "usual emergency boot access is", be cryptic if you like.Mine is a facelift model (2000) so the usual emergency boot access isn't available. Hate to think you have to basically force it open.
I have a 1999 and I know how to get into my boot even if the solenoid has failed and will explain it to you.
