Evoque Pure Tech - any good deals out there?

My wife is considering an Evoque pure tech pack with a few added options. Had an hours test drive that went well and really put a smile on her face, lovely ride and a great place to sit in and drive. Not the fastest car in the world though which is a bit of a low point.
We're looking at the 5 door manual 2.2 SD4 in Santorini black with the following options;
Panoramic Roof
Adaptive Xenon lights
Privacy glass
Electric folding mirrors & puddle lamps
Carpet mats
Rear parking camera
Heated steering wheel
full electric front seats with memory

So a total of about 37.5k on a 33k base spec car. Are any of these options not really worth the money or are there other options that are must haves? We'd also want the 5 year £500 service pack. What are the chances of getting some of these thrown in as part of the deal or are Land Rover notoriously stingy when it comes to deals on the Evoque?

I think the only one I would ditch is the hearted steering wheel

To me auto is a much better option than elec mem seats. Unless there are lots of different drivers once the seat is set in position what's the point in mem?

Not sure if that's a straight £ swap or not though.

Ordered new Evoque in Feb on behalf of sister.

Ran spec we wanted through www.broadspeed.com website to give indication of likely savings.

Used as negotiation tool with LR dealer (she wanted to use dealer) and ended up with 6-7 % discount from memory.

Assured June delivery at time of order but still no build date available .....

As for the car itself - IMHO they're way too expensive, rather slow, noisy at cruising speed and cramped.

Thanks all! UK car broker are showing £2900 off the base price so once added up with all the options we want it equates to almost 8% which sounds reasonable. Hopefully the local dealer (Marshalls in Bedford) will replicate should we push the button.

Main stumbling block for us is ideally we wanted something quicker than our current Leon Tdi FR, the Evoque is a lot slower but then it's a totally different type of car and something we need to decide if we'd be happy with long term. Round town not so bad but a potential issue when wanting to make A-road progress.

I think the auto sd4 has a lot better acceleration than the manual, if that's what you want from performance. I personally think the auto better suits all LRs too, bar perhaps the defender.

I would not say they are noisy, at cruising speed its as quite as my A5 3.0 tdi ever was

Much as I'd love the auto the missus wants manual and no amount of persuasion whatsoever will change that unfortunately.

It's Range Rover and it's supposed to be small!! When launched, one of the 'Target Audiences' was the likes of TT owners!

If you want something a little bit quicker, get the petrol version.

This was the ONLY option that I regretted NOT ordering.
So I bought one afterwards and have been thoroughly impressed with it (during the winter months)... it's just another nice bit of luxury to add to the list.

I had an auto and a manual recently as hire cars, I've never been a fan of an auto box but it's the way to go in a car like the Evoque, suite the car brilliantly.

O/P just wondering how you got on with your search as I am looking a similar car. Pure Tech 5dr SD4 Auto.

Did you manage to find any good deals online or at dealers?

We have a 48 hour test drive next weekend in an auto. Decided against the manual as everyone is saying just how good the new 9sp box is and how much improved the mpg is.
We were looking at the Pure Tech, but with all the options we want (Xenons, power seats, pano roof, reversing camera) it gets within a grand of a Dynamic which includes everything we want on the Pure (barr the pan roof) and give better quality leather, bigger wheels, colour coded sills and a slightly differnent body. Plus the Dynamic has a 1500 manufacturer contribution to the finance (hence it's about a grand more). Speaking to a few people and looking at Drive the Deal we should 'hopefully' be able to pull about 2.5k off list (plus the 1500 if we use JLRs PCP) which makes it a good deal.
We looked at nearly new but their not that far off new price.

I have just tried drive the deal aswell and the spec I want (pano roof and xenons) comes out at 35019. I also tried the uk car broker website so I am awaiting a price from them.


I am offshore at the moment but will be looking to book at test drive when I'm home.

Does anyone know what 35k would work out at per month over 3 years? I am looking to put in a minimal deposit as possible.
