Another Wedge up for sale. Not sure if this has already been posted? Looks immaculate. Is it my imagination or are the prices escalating upwards over the last 2 months??

Thought i saw it up on ebay with a potential blown head gasket.
Possibly looks like a different add cos the the seller has moved premises and done a new photo shoot.

Hmmm, I've never seen a 350i with that style (or amount!) of flaring to the arches and spoilers etc., on a D plate it's not even as though it was one of the last, so I wonder if the original owner asked the factory to style it a bit more like a 390SE or has someone done just that in its life... scratchchin

Yes I read they had dropped the price because of a possible head gasket problem and due to the fact they were moving premises wanted to get it moving.
Personally I think they'd do better fixing any problem and selling it as a clean reliable motor afterall they're in the business.

I agree who would buy a car that 'might have a head gasket problem', it's not as if it's going cheap, it looks nice, but is that just a good paint job hiding a mechanical nightmare?

Just rung them and pointed out its potential history and got the runaround - they are now saying its going for 5k even though the three places its up for all say 7K

if its a head gasket issue is it still worth it? or just run away

A BIG IF,is it just a head gasket problem so a new gasket set, how long has it been an issue so any deeper issues, warped head perhaps or even cracked, its a gamble and could be expensive one at £5000. Should at least get a 3 month warranty as they're trading.

yeh it seems a bit iffy - I just don't get why they don't fix first (they did say it had had a radiator and water pump. Either I'm going to be going back or the warranty is one of those insurance based ones, in which case it could be invalidated if its sold with a known issue.

I assume any SOGA warranty would be invalid if they told you it had the problem at the point of sale.
