Impromptu BBQ?

A year or so back some of the guys on here tried to get a bbq together but I don't think it came off in the end, so I've been thinking...the papers today say we have a little heatwave coming this May, and , seeing as I never seem to get to any of the Noble events, how about some of you come to my place for a bbq on the 18th May? It would probably be best to just stick to some of the guys 'darn sarth' as it's a long way to come for a burnt sausage and space is limited. I reckon we can park 9 Nobs including my own and I can seat 14 people outside. I'm in the Sevenoaks area, which is nice for a drive out and most of the time there's quite a nice view from my garden. I'd like a photo of 5 Nobs at the front of my house too! So, you are welcome and so is your other half. If you're interested, let me know asap on this post please. I'll need to stop at 8 cars assuming 2 people per car. If the weather forecast is crap, I would move the date because there's just no point otherwise.

Nice idea! This is the day of Grahams Brands hatch race weekend which I plan to go to on the SUnday and i think a few others are going too. This could be a nice end to the day?

Now that's an idea! Do we know what time the event finishes? 20 minutes from Brands to me, but I wonder if people would be pushed for time? (work in the morning etc.) OR, the 25th even. (I'll need to check with the other half in case she's got something else on)

Think we'll be leaving after the last race finishes at 6pm, however we may have an hour for a burger before the trek back to Scotland

Great idea and I'd love to join you as I'm not far from you and it was your car (parked in Deal if you remember) that got me tempted to the Nobility in the first place.

Sadly we are away both Sundays but hope it comes together.

That's also the date for Supercar Siege at Leeds Castle but I'd be up for a sausage or two. Not sure I fancy Brands though.

At the other end of the domicile scale, if people fancy taking up an entire housing estate of Leamington Spa with a selection of Britain's finest low-volume supercars, I'm sure I could be convinced to fire up the charcoal just for the sight of it. Or I could contact the Heritage Centre and see if they'd let us have a BBQ in the car park one Saturday

This is a really good idea, if i can get rid of the kids and the car is working Im well up for this

we need to do this more often... I have 18 acres to park on so we could do a proper BBQ here colchester way... trouble is Im crap at organising lol

From the response so far it looks like people could be interested in a late afternoon/early evening BBQ Sunday 18th, say arriving between 5.00 & 6.00ish. This is fine but I'd kick you all out by about 8.00 as light starts to fade and I have work at the crack Monday. Alternatively I can do Saturday 17th instead from 5.00 onwards.
If those who want to come can confirm by this Sunday please, it would be helpful. I can then work out what I'm going to do re supplies and planning etc.

But the roads are probably more interesting where you are!

BTW, if you ever need a garage to fix a probelm in when you're racing at brands let me know.
Plenty of room, lots of odd but useful tools like a flypress, engine hoise, lathe, mills, drills and welding equipment.
Hopefully you'll never need to take me up on the offer!

That's three confirmed. I might have to buy a second pack of sausages at this rate! Another 2 or 3 would be ideal to justify the effort and so far the ten day forecast shows sunshine on the Sunday.
