Rubber sump gasket
Discussion
I redid my leaking sump gasket at the start of the year. First go was using a normal gasket, but this failed after a few 100 miles! So I decided to just use some Loctite 5910, which also meant that I could torque up the bolts without fear the gasket would pop out. Has been fine ever since!
Just make sure that the sump lip is flat as you can get it, Also fit the bar across the rear two bolts as mentioned on previous threads on sump sealing.

I thought i`d have a go with Spends recommendation. It will bend around the corners without cutting and jointing. I just have 1 joint on the side of the sump. Being 5mm thick it easily takes up any uneaveness in the sump itself.
Only done a few hundred miles on it, so early days, but so far bone dry.

EPDM has pretty poor resistance to oils - not the ideal material for the application.Only done a few hundred miles on it, so early days, but so far bone dry.
