These lists are funny but it's always nice to see the Griffith make the Top 10.

More owners of Qashqais out there than Sunbeam Tiger fans obviously. frown

That said how on earth does the Nissan qualify anyway is it built here? That's stretching a bit

The one I can't get my head round is the original Elan at 23. Should be Top 10 for sure. Not least for its global influence - inspiring the MX5.
Still, I enjoyed the Griff getting so high.

Actually, after dwelling on it a bit more, I'm quite surprised that there are so many good cars in the list. After all, I don't know any petrolheads who read Autocar, and I only see it in the doctor's waiting room!

I have to agree with you there. When i was a trainee Auto electrician in my youth in the Mid 70s. I worked on quite a few Elans . Changing the Dynamo on an Original Elan was shall we say...... interesting. A superb car , but my favorite was a JPS Europa that gave me great pleasure in driving. Happy Days. thumbup

Another way of looking at this piece of randomness - how many have you owned? In my case 2 in the top 10, including two Griffs, 6 in the top 30, 10 in total.

If I count my MG ZT-T as a Rover 75 derivative, three - MG (Rover), Chimaera and new Mini (x3).
