Thank you. How cynical is that! That will keep the r&d budget down......avinalarf said:
Seen several Ftype roadsters about now ,visually don't do it for me,not seen any coupes on the road.
I still think Jag got the pricing wrong should have started at say £45K.
Saw a coupe at a petrol station yesterday (I visit frequently!) - reminded me of a Chrysler Crossfire - or is just me?I still think Jag got the pricing wrong should have started at say £45K.

Disgraceful behavior. Fancy getting caught cheating in such a fashion. I bet he even left the house wearing Aston Martin apparel as an attempt to create a diversion. Boo!
I admit that I took my AM coat though left it in the boot. Now the F. Type. I drove the V6 and the V8. Both are without doubt dynamically superior to the Vantage. My main interest lay with the V8 . The handling around the Alpine circuit was simply breathtaking , the sheer grunt from the supercharged 5ltr is bordering on awesome. On the mile straight whether I was using the paddles or relying on the Auto box the car pulled over 170 mph. The oval circuit or bowl is quite surreal to drive around , I held about 140 to 150 mph whilst changing from 7th to 8th. Interestingly the pro driver did one lap at just over 170 mph.
You may have noticed by now that I have just talked speed! I felt the interior lacked the sheer quality that our Astons have. Though it would be fair to say that it is very up to date. All the gizmos and settings are all baffling. The problem for me is that I love my V8S and everything that is Aston Martin.

Would be interesting to see what you thought if you could have driven the Jaaaaaag and Pearl back to back on the same circuits.
I am aggrieved to say that the Performance, handling and sheer ability of the F.Type R would leave Pearl a little wanting. The technical wizardry that Jaguar has thrown at the R Coupe could do no other. It really hurts to make these claims, I am so sorry for doing so.
Where Pearl scores is the look, the presence, the feel good factor. Sometimes I just sit in the bloody thing and think "Wow". It is not all about ultimate speed and the irrelevance that comes with it . Its that certain something that Aston Martins have in abundance.
