I read on here in 2010 that you can get an upgrade to digital for the speedo as mine is not working. The pcb is damaged on both speedo and rev counter on my 92 griff. Any info would be greatfull. I have been told that the sender on the LT77 box is working by the garage at FORZA WEST.

Get in touch with ETB ( http://www.etbinstruments.com/ ). They've just refurbed my speedo and I found them very helpful and good value as well. They show on their website a whole array of digital instruments so are clearly familiar with them.

Here's the thread you are looking for, their is a picture on the first page. I'm the original purchaser from down south and waited 4 months for mine to be made but the end result is perfection and it's still running strong 5 years on.

Hi, I spoke to ETB today and they told me they do not many spares for the Stewart Warner type and suggested I contact SW in the America. Going to look into the digital upgrade. cheers simonwedge

Hi Steve, so have I got this right, if I go down the digital route I will need a inductive proxy sender, its how to sort out the calibration on wheel sizes that I don't get, at the present I have 18" spiders on 255x35x18 tyres that is the same size circumference 615mm as of original wheel and tyre fitted as standard. Will I also still need the use of the original sender on the LT77 gearbox?

If you have a LT77 then no you don’t need an inductive proxy sender as it works perfectly with the LT77 sensors and doesn’t upset the standard ECU. I specifically choose the Speedy Cables speedo as it looks OEM plus works with both the LT77 and an inductive proxy sensor, as I knew one day I would upgrade my LT77 to a T5 gearbox. I’ve since installed a T5 and now have both the speedo and ECU running from this sensor http://www.caigauge.com/page18.html mounted on the diff. The calibration is programmed via the trip re-set button and I used my Sat Nav speedo as a calibration reference.

The speedo is actually an upside down Caerbont’s Electronic Programmable Speedometer in disguise and here’s the link to the installation and set-up guide. http://www.caigauge.com/page28.html

Should you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to ask or pm me as I could bore you even more.

My speedo which currently installed is same set-up as Steve's, albeit I had to change speedo initially due to change of gearbox to T5..... this is why I have a spare, as initially all that was available was the 500 layout, but thanks to Steve the precat look got developed

Hi Hoover, thanks for the offer of your spare, my first thoughts on this are more for the speedy cables option but I have not ruled yours out altogether.
