After a long time lurking on this forum. I have finally gone and bought a 1998 450 Chimaera. I have had it for a month now and have covered about 1000 miles already. Any excuse I can think of to take it out, my face is usually hurting by the time I get back due to the stupid grin on my face. I am absolutely loving it. I bought it from the guys at Str8 six and they did a great job preparing the car and their service has been exceptional.

I live near Lincoln and was wondering when the time comes where is the best place to get it serviced.

To finish of here are the pictures.

Willow Sports Cars at Newark are even nearer.......and Nick is a great guy. He's very close to the A46/A1 junction.

There are a surprisingly large number of TVRs in Lincs/Notts.....Including mine at Coddington, another Chimaera in Balderton and an S2 about half a mile from me. And Daz (the plumber) with a Chimaera near Nottingham and another Daz (the sparky) at Swinderby, just to name a few

Local TVRCC meets are the second Sunday lunchtime at the pub in Langar (Unicorn?). Come along. No need to be a member, all welcome

And there is the TVRCC track day on Monday 2nd June at Cadwell Park. Book yourself onto it if you are a track day nutter (just ask for the link), or come for some passenger rides. If last year is anything to go by, there will be Sagarses, T350s, Tuscans, Grffs, Chims, wedges, etc etc - last time there was even a 1970 Tuscan.

My Brothers do TVR's and MOT's near Lincoln (01400 272125).
Mine are the yellow M and Griff and I live in Branston.

The first photo was taken in 1979 and the others last weekend.

The Silver M in the first photo is the same car on the left in the second photo.

Happy motoring, tinkering, swearing, crying, smiling, laughing, bleeding, head-scratching, googling, cleaning and fetling.

Hi Steve,

Congrats with your beautiful Chim.

Was at Str8six last year to view that car , didn't buy it in the end. Later I realized I was at Spa Classic 2011 together with one of the previous owners, unbelievable coincidence :-))

I remember we did some amazing track laps together !
Can mail you some more details if you want.

Regards, Han

It is a bit like not chewing a fruit pastille. Lift off the throttle down hill, exhaust pops and bangs, and you have to try not to grin/ laugh out loud.... Cannot be done!

Or open your garage door to get a pizza from the freezer and try not to grin as you say to yourself " he he that's mine"

Welcome
