Just plain black Capri ones on mine. Same as the chromed ones on my 1974 Mk 2 1600GT had, which looked just like this. Takes me back.......

They are specials..Engraved with the TVR logo..lick...I had a set of them given to me as a present..They are on Delilah....Originally Cortina/Early capri as the later ones had the lock in the door..Bloody awful...While we are on the subject of awful...Could they of used a bigger alarm sticker on your side window?...Any bigger and you will look like you are wearing a triangle shaped crash helmet when driving it....I hate stickers on windows....I have been trying to remove a TVRCC one on the windscreen..Not that its anything to do with the club, Its just right in the bloody middle...hehe

With you on the sticker front, I also have a TVRCC one smack in the middle of the windscreen and quite a large tax disc holder, both will probably have to be changed some time in the future. The alarm sticker I think actually looks bigger than it is in the pic but might leave it anyhow simply as a deterrent.

Only messing with the size of the sticker...Athough from the side it might look like you have a large triangle shaped ear ring on....wobble

The chrome versions were fitted to Mk2 Grannies and GL/Ghia Corties and early Escorts & Capris, probably more models too, so are also 'original Ford' in that sense. The lock mechanisms with central locking also came from GL/Ghia Grannies and Cortinas, and will fit in mine (with a slight bend in the vice to clear the glass)

Just for everyone's info - in case you want to retrofit them to an older wedge.

I reckon the darker colours (like mine in dark blue and Zig's above) look better with the chromed ones, but it's personal choice of course.

Mine are black, minus the logos. IIRC the Mk 4/5 Cortina had a completely different style where the whole handle lifted up, not just the insert, and the lock was in the door as stated above.

Oh yes, I forgot about that - the Mk5 Cortinas were definitely different, don't remember for sure about the mk4...

I wonder if they will still fit the wedge door ???
