check this listing out...

Either a horrendous typing error on his 'buy it now' price. Or another joker trying to scam a few bucks...

It also claims to be a convertible, with disabled access and a tow bar - What a car!

Why do people do this... surely it must cost them in listing fees.

Anyone know where 'BurntIsland' is... I assume thats a reference to any potential purchasers' fingers...!?

Hacked accounts.

A lot of people have been sent email with a link on to enter their details.

Only the official looking emails and web page, were not from ebay!

Burntisland is near Fife in Scotland.

Also worth noting that the details not only offer a convertable but also a sunroof. Looking at the picture clearly both are incorrect.

Park assist? I see no blisters on the bumper...

Tilt steering wheel? They only slide on mine.

ESP? Surely they mean PSM.

Swiss cheese I say...

I'm tempted to put a bid in for 3.50 to see what I end up with.... assuming it will be something, even it's a plastic turd.

We could all ask him awkward questions. He might get fed up and withdraw it.

Gives the location as Fife but has a spanish email address.

Has anyone applied to be on his pre-approved buyers list?

Maybe a condition of being on the list is bunging him another £50k in addition to the £8000 to reduce listing fees?

Sent the buyer a message and got the following response:

Although I am registered in the UK, but I recently moved in Cosenza, Italy (where my family is from) and the car is being shipped from here. I made the auction for UK due to the fact it's UK version (right handed), meet all the UK standards, and its better to ship it where it belongs, that means UK, because here in Italy is very difficult to drive this type of vehicle, so i am trying to sell it as low as i can to complete the sale fast (my loss will be your gain). It still has UK registration, cos I didn't paid for Italy import taxes so it will be very easy for you to register the Porsche 911 in your country. You will have to pay just the taxes associated with registering it in UK.

The car is in a perfect cosmetic and engine conditions, and meticulously maintained. No damage, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects, the engine doesn't smoke, runs and sounds awesome, the engine has never been repaired or something like that, never been into accidents and it is as advertised .The car comes with log book, HPI cleared, British Documents V5, it is free of encumbrances and liens. You will get from me the keys and all documents to register the item in UK, and also a bill of sale in your name and signed by me.

If the car is not how i described it, i will offer a full refund, upon the return of the item in original condition (return postage at my expense). It will be insured during transportation and will be delivered at your front door in maximum one week. Final price is £8,000.00 (this price includes the shipping and insurance).

If you agree with this price and decided to go ahead , I will have ebay to contact you with the transaction details in order to buy under their PURCHASE PROTECTION & REFUND PLAN.

Respectfully,
Max

Sounds well dodgy to me!!!

How can it already have a V5 if it has never been registered in the UK?

Watch out ! I received an email allegedly from "ebay". It looks real enough, but when you click on the link it takes you to a strange web address. I emailed ebay and asked if this was a spoof email. They
replied with....

“ The email you reported did not originate from, nor is it endorsed by, eBay. We are very concerned about this problem and are working diligently to address the situation. We are currently investigating the source of this email to take further action. You may rest assured that your account standing has not changed and that your listings have not been affected. “

Would that be the scheme with an upper claim limit of £120 (less £15 admin charges)?

Seems it's an invalid item now.
