Will a motorhome 7.4m x 2.3m fit in a HOUX camping pitch????
Discussion
Do you know your pitch number, you can check on here http://beermountain.com/uploads/pdfs/2013%20Houx.p...
and see if it looks like it's in the middle, etc.. I've just checked our tickets and they look correct for this year as well
It might help - feel free to PM me your pitch no. and I can see if I can dredge up memories of the pitches... You never know
you might be next to a PHer who I'm sure will try to help out.

If you have a 7m+ motorhome you need to make sure the pitch is 7m deep and not 7m wide as unless you get there 1st it's difficult to slide a motorhome into a 7m gap that has tents & cars either side of it! We go for an unnumbered pitch early in the week & shove the front end of cab under a tree or bush which gives us a bit more length

In this persons case we're talking 400mm which is alot of someone elses pitch but not of no mans land. Yes there's one official camping area for motorhomes over 7m which officially you need to get a pitch of 105m2 on PZ54 (i think) but it looks like it has as much ambiance as Tesco car park with the bus turnaround point running day & night. To be safe we always get 2 or 3 un-numbered pitches which gives you plenty of options when you arrive so not to take the 'precious' mm from the neighbours

You should be ok if you are there early (Weds or before) so you can get into your spot and can get the 'overhang' in the aisle rather than someone else's spot. It's a bit cheeky but no more so than the people who fill there spot with tents and leave their car in the roadway.

Yep
Assuming the motor home's the only thing you're taking you should be OK if you get their early and make friends with your neighbours.
1. You're slightly too long but not too wide, so offer to trade a 400mm over-hang for letting them park their car/etc next to it (on your pitch).
2. Offer them cold beer when they arrive and to trade some beer space in your fridge for the 400mm of their pitch.
3. If you've got TV you can trade viewing rights too - especially with FIFA World Cup games across the Le Mans week (inc Netherlands Friday, England Saturday and France Sunday - the most likely nationality of your neighbours who are playing).
4. If they look hygenic there's also day-time toilet privaledges to be traded of course!
Of course take a long extension lead and DON'T run a generator all night. That WON'T make your neighbours your friends!

Park it at aa 45 angle and you will not invade others space. It will limit how much room left for youselves but....YP
As said above, please do not run the engine or gennies without thinking of next door.
It won't be at 45 degrees, but that's a genius idea As said above, please do not run the engine or gennies without thinking of next door.
Should work for the OP.Gassing Station | Le Mans | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
