Hi Peeps...Well i spoke to the hotel today as the allocation for rooms is to be handed back two weeks ago..And to my surprise all bar 2 rooms are booked..This is indeed encouraging..I have been panicking about the weather as well as it says there may be a shower on the Saturday but only a brief one..Prefer none actually!...It seems that there are more people booked than are actually down as "Who's coming"..So if you guys can let me know as regards to food..Merchandise and activities please..Email me if you prefer so that i can confirm there will be adequate amounts of what ever is required...

As far as "Fest guests" i have..Chris Shirle...David Gerald sportscars....Mike Luck..CWR...Peter Filby...Neil from ML Performance might pop along, Tim from ACT might show his face and I'm trying to get in contact with the man himself..Oliver Winterbottom, I would love to see him again as he is such a character and after his unfortunate loss of his beloved wife i think he needs some TVR treatment..He does enjoy coming to the event..We might have to sub him his room costs though..

I shall be hopefully getting a giant dummy cheque made out to the Jennifer trust and handing over the charity money which has been a collection of calendar donations and personal donations...At the minute it stands at £400 and theres around £70 left to cover the awards, Hopefully there is a little more to come from previous funds.
I will also be inviting the local Warickshire press to take a photograph of the handing over of the charity money and i will want the majority of you..If not all to be in it also.

I shall ask you once the shirts are priced if £1-2 can be added to the cost so that some money can be put into the BBWF business account which i opened.
This is to be monies for any help towards the running next year...I shall keep accounts of every penny that passes through this account and anyone who wishes to see a copy is more than welcome...I will also be keeping a spreadsheet and this to is available to anyone who wishes to see it.

My feeling is that if I'm to handle your money..Which is what this is..Then i need to be totally transparent and upfront about any detail..

Hopefully everything will work to plan on the day and we all have a great time....The event is also being filmed and will be made into a DVD which will be for sale after the event...So lets make it another one to remember...

Cheers for now...Ziga

Good news Mark - don't forget that Club members might not post up here too if they heard about it through Sprint.

Looking forward to it!

I'm still an "undecided" at this stage, I'm hoping to be there, but won't know if my wedge will be there all day on the Saturday (if my friend is available and up for driving it up - he might have to work) or just the evening like I have done before, or maybe just the Sunday.

The descision might have to be made "on the day"

Just booked my room for the Saturday night.

In 8 years of Wedge ownership this will be the first 'overnighter'.

Really looking forward to it.

drinkdriving

(Not in that order of course).

Now who's up for a convoy from the North on Saturday morning?

All being well I'll be setting off from Bradford Saturday morning, so could meet in a service station.

Magnificent effort Mark.. it's takes some doing to step up & organise!
If you can also arrange with the weather Gods, that would be perfect!
Looking forward to it.

We had name badges one year that were kindly donated by a Wedger but haven't heard from him for a while..Mine nearly started a fight due to two drunk girls at the bar and a connection between the spice girls...eek...Their boyfriends weren't too impressed..hehe

Hi Peeps...Just an update on some bits...After the big mix up as regards to the amount of rooms taken at Ettington things are slowly falling into place albeit slightly "Changeable"....(Im learning to like this word)..After some un-fruitful searching for sponsors for this years mugs i spoke with Track V Road this morning and they have agreed to sponsor them for us, I just love looking through their gallery...Another "D-TYPE" rep that i love...(Just keeps reminding me that i should be "Ziga Zagarington the 1st of Zog castle, Better make sure i win the lottery this week!)......So thanks Track V Road its greatly appreciated.

I should be hearing shortly with regards to the shirts and caps..The supplier is waiting on the production team to finalise the logo placement on the garments..Taking for ever...Hopefully you should be able to get ..

1 x Good quality BBWF 2014 Embroidered Polo-Shirt ...Any size/Colour.
1 x Good quality Logo Embroidered baseball cap...Any colour/One size

For well under £20.

The Mugs will be free but any after sales will go towards the BBWF Fund/Charity.

There are some little and some may say silly things you will take away with you..(Discarding the hotel soap and towels..whistle) like a gold Ziga bling friday night meal bracelet..Or maybe this year a plastic GOLD Ziga Friday night payment token..

I will be printing some welcome packs and a good friend ...(You know who you are) has kindly been sponsored by his work place in the printing and laminating of the Saturday night meal menus...Which will also hopefully end up in someone luggage rather than the bin...But most of all you will take away the experience of the Wedgefest in the form it is now..Sadly not as viable as the first great gathering set up in 2004 by a group of cool dudes for a group of cool dudes...For the future of cool dudes...cool..You'll always be cool driving a TVR....Sadly i was not about when all this happened but those of you who were there have some good memories, Maybe they could be shared?..

It would be nice to get the old crowd there together and have some history spoken about the first BBWF..I know this is not possible but one or two of the originators would be great....scratchchin...Maybe start another thread.

Well thats all for now folks..I will keep you up to speed...Cheers

...Ziga
