Anyone had pleasant dealings with one? any I should avoid? Looking for a gift for the bread knife, not the usual A1 ABC stuff but a 3/3 or 3/2 type.

Just remember that the asking price is only that.

I bought a 4/2 plate but for less than half of the price advertised. Inquired, said my price, they said no. A week later they contact me and continue to chip away at their asking price until we agreed on the price I originally said it was worth to me.

Paperwork/money side of things went smoothly.

I always recommend my customers go through DVLA themselves, their prices include the £80 transfer fee, which makes them cheaper than a lot of others, and they just send you a certificate of entitlement through, rather than insisting on doing the transfer themselves, as a lot of the brokers do.

That's good advice. The more people in the chain the more expensive it becomes. Dealing with DVLA regarding number plates seems to be a lot less painful than it is with V5s.
