I need to get a spare 19" wheel to fit my 2006 model RR S/C because I've only got four. But I don't seem to be able to find one - there are a couple on eBay, but they're collection only and too far away. (And the cost of a courier seems to rule them out.) There are lots of sets of four, but I only need one.

I've tried a couple of dealers as well, but they don't have any in stock either.

I don't suppose anyone on here would have one that they want to sell, would they? Or failing that, that they could lend me for a few days? I wouldn't put it on the car unless I had to, and I only need it for a week or so. I just have a long journey to do and I don't want to go without a spare, because Sod's Law says that's the one time I'll need it. smile

Anyway, any help or advice you can offer will be gratefully accepted. Thanks! beer

19" on a Supercharged? I thought they came with 20"?

Be warned that due to the Brembos, there are only a couple of 19" models which fir over the brakes.

Also, where are you based? I'd need to check but I might have a spare 19" rim...

Yep, that's right. The car came with 20" rims as standard, but I want to put 19" on for a week. I've got a set which fits, but there's only four of them. If the worst comes to the worst I can always get another set of four, but I'd rather not because I don't really have the storage space for them.

I'm in the Reading area if you want to drop me a line.

Hiya, I'm confused.

You have 20" rims now. You want to try 19", I assume to see if the ride improves?

But you only have 4 19" rims? So want a 5th 'spare' , for a week? Why?

It's more than possible I've misunderstood things! smile

MY neighbour has just bought himself 4 new 20" rims for his RRS, and the old 4 are currently piled up at the side of his house, although two of those are cracked so of no use (explains why he bought a new set of 4 smile).

Not sure if this helps or is even relevant though if you are looking for just 1 19" rim.

Yep, I have 20" rims on the car at the moment, and a 20" spare in the boot. I have a set of four 19" rims as well, but I don't use those very often. I want to put them on the car though so that I can take it offroad one weekend in the near future and run less of a risk of pulling a tyre off. And my 20" rims are nice and shiny because I'm careful with them, whereas I bought my 19" ones on eBay and they were kerbed by the previous owner so I don't care if I scrape them on rocks and stuff. Nothing more complicated than that. smile

I'd like to keep a fifth 19" rim forever, but in the event of nobody having one to sell me I can manage with just one week's use so that I have a spare in the event of a problem. (And obviously, if I do have to use it then I'll make sure the relevant compensation is forthcoming!) Once the event is over I'll be switching back to my 20" rims.

If your neighbour wants to sell one of the uncracked rims and it'll fit the RR S/C, please do let me know! smile
