Hi all,

I discovered this morning that the national version of Heart Radio (London) has been replaced by a god-awful ste re-branded local radio, complete with those fizzing, wobbling DJs that grind your face like a cheese grater on your cheeks all the way to work.

I really enjoyed the Breakfast show of Heart London, but being in Yorkshire DAB was the only way to recieve it in the car.

Question then: Is it possible to somehow amend the DAB settings to make it send you programmes from the London area, rather than local?

Absolutely gutted they have done this. Our new car has a DAB radio built in and 12 months ago I was really happy to find a Breakfast show on there that I liked - and now its gone!

Any know?

Thanks!!

Paul.

Unlikely because DAB still uses local transmitter masts, so can have different stations in different areas. You can only receive what the tower is putting out - just like analogue.

Can you listen to the show online?

If so, connect the audio from your phone into the ICE (I am assuming yours will allow this... MoSt modern stuff does)

Then spank your data allowance and phone battery....

As the previous poster says, if your local DAB multiplex is no longer carrying the station, you have no way of receiving it via DAB.
