Hi another question from the most twp Wedge owner....

There's a circular switch under the dash, to the right of the steering column which "clicks" when operated back and forth.

also.... ~blushes~

Where's the fuse box on the 1989 400SE? Seem to recall the 350i had it's in the glove compartment

Hi, i think its the dimmer switch, fuse box is under the dash on the passenger side the carpet panel held up by a screw, hope i'm right.

Usually the dimmer has three settings, off, off and full brightness, due to the resistors (white ceramic blocks about 2" long)
mounted on the nearside suspension tower corroding.

Mine doesn't seem to do anything at all...

Wasn't that the joke about the Lucas lights on old British motorcycles: the switch had three positions... Dim, Flicker and Off biggrin
