Hi, I'm struggling to get my boot lid to form a water tight seal on the right hand side. The lock is adjusted as low as possible requiring a manly thump to engage however the seal doesn't look like it is being compressed at the front right hand side. Does anyone have any tips or tricks?

Getting the seal tight all around can be a real pain, very much depending on how "true" your bootlid is.

disconnect/take off the gas strut just to make sure it is not holding the lid up

you may or may not have a few washers acting as spacers on the hinges, try addind/subtracting as necessary to get the lid to sit lower where required.

you can also try the same method for lowering the lock mechanism to pull the lid shut tighter/lower - you may also need to adjust the striker on the boot lid too.

It will probably require a mixture of all of these to get the best fit.

Good quality torch and somebody who isn't claustrophobic, who you can shut in the boot to see what is going on when you shut the lid is the quickest way to identify where you need to adjust.

Or add some self adhesive soft neoprene foam to the underside of the boot lid where the boot seal mates wink

I must admit to thinking of having some sort of male female sealing solution. Thanks for the link.

Cheers
