What a stunning bit of kit, fair play to the lad!

I miss the Peugeot Cosworth too. Such a shame the MSA are a bunch of sad bds that won't allow brilliant creations like this, that would attract so many more people to the sport!!

Stunning!! And at only 21 some serious engineering. Love the choice of engine... A naturally aspirated Renault engine - beats a strangled fart sounding turbo charged engine.

Just the type of thing that should be encouraged - except in the UK by the MSA; who I never feel support Rallying properly; unless when it suits them.

It would sound incredible on a forrest stage wouldn't it? Just a shame we won't see the likes over here.

There's plenty of stuff like that in the UK, just not in rallying..smile...frown

Or nip over the channel and watch the Tout-Terrain series in France.

Maybe the MSA could change their mind when they finally realise Citroën DS3's just aren't exciting.

Spot on, the French TT championship has some exceptionally talented builders and drivers, Vincent Foucart used to rally a 205T16 look-a-like with a Formula 1 V10 engine (I think this was 1999 when I started navigating over there). Rivet builds some superb compact cars and quite a few of the constructors / drivers are involved with ice racing too.

There's a "modified" class in the irish tarmac championship which I think a car like this could compete in, not sure exactly what the regs are but seems to cover unusual engine/body combinations.

Usually the most entertaining class in a rally as they are rarely travelling in a straight line.
