Help - Sky HD box parental pin protect query

Our kids are driving us nuts by being glued to the TV 24/7.

To get them of their lazy backsides is it possible to parental pin protect a sky box on switch on from stand by or from off - so sky box only shows channels when switched on after pin entered or is parental pin protect by channel the only optiion or way forward?

Pin protect every channel, well at least the ones they want to watch.

Yes it is possible. On the menu go to the parental control option (padlock on top menu), enter your pin and go to the 'channel' option and you can lock channels to your hearts content. Either locked constantly or after 8pm. There used to be a maximum of around fifty channels you can lock though.

Tell them to do something else?
Turn off the TV?
Put the plug socket on a timer and restrict access to it.
