Can I ask for some advice please. I have in my fleet a 2004 CLK 270 CDI. I have the EML light on and I do have a scanner and I have code P0102. This relates to the air mas sensor.

Before I rush out and buy a new sensor, my question is, I am having no other running faults, the car is running well, no rough Idle, no cutting out all seems well. I also have no other stored codes. When I reset it turns of the light but soon comes back, So for sure I have a fault.

From what I know (read on the net) if the maf was faulty I would have some other codes and running issues, but I don't it runs well. Can you advise what else I should check before just buying a mew maf.

Thanks in advance.

The engine will still run without the MAF, but will perhaps stall sometimes as idle control is not as accurate. My old S500 ran fine with this code for a good while until I got round to changing the MAF element.

Its more than likely a faulty air mass sensor but before you go that route check for air leaks on things like the charge air hoses, intercooler etc all which can affect the air mass reading.
