unknown brake calipers...

Hi!

I found a pair of brake calipers some time ago in the boot of a car I bought.
But I noticed that they've nothing to do with this car.
Now I would like to know what car they are from.

The calipers are made of alloy and it seems they are only for
the handbrakes, because there's no hydraulic connection, just
a mechanic lever.
Maybe they where once painted gold. There are traces of golden
paint on them. Unfortunately there is no sign or writing to
find anywhere.

Maybe someone here knows...

Some (usually high end) cars have a separate mechanically actuated caliper for the handbrake, these could be an older version of that.

Alternatively, they could be off a trailer.

Those look like Go Kart brakes.

Interesting thought.
Do trailers have disc brakes?
I've no idea...

The car I found them inside was a Fiat 2300S Coupé
and they also have seperate handbrake calipers.
But they are much smaller than these.

Fair enough,It's difficult to guess the size with nothing to provide a sense of scale.
this is what I was thinking of...

Yes, indeed. Look very similar to my calipers.
So I think too they are from something special
like a kart.
