How on earth is that so cheap??? Based on the other SEs that should be up for at least 30k if not 35k being a low milage, one owner, concourse example.

Fair price for a quick sale but someone's lost a lot of money on that. Get in quick or it'll be up at a dealer for £35k, again.
It's not one owner mind

Looks lovely, detailing is superb and it does seem too £ cheap.
Cerb ? seats by the look of it, which the last ones had as std ? My first Griff had them and i didnt find them good at all.
Not my interior color choice i must admit, particularly the green dash and carpets, but the rest of the car looks near perfect and not difficult to change.
A Fantastic buy for someone, ( who may have got the £ asking price reduced ) but i wont be suprised if it re appears with a Huge mark up........

What an absolute bargain, as someone else has said it will be interesting to see if it pops up in private ownership or at a dealer for twice the price....

Seems a real bargain but a couple of oddities, nearest guage appears to be a different colour and shouldn't it be on Estorils rather than Imolas? To good to use as well, one to mothball.

...just trying to make myself feel better about buying a week before this came up....and it was on my doorstep. rolleyes

I notice from the pics that it's been picked up at the outside corners of the outriggers on a 2-post lift. On my previous TVR (wedge in case you hadn't guessed from the name) this would be an absolute no-no due to the limited triangulation of the outriggers back to the backbone. Is this method of lifting OK for Griffs/Chims though?

Main square section of the chassis would be better, but jacking up on the corner plates is fine.

I've never really understood why there is a premium paid for the SE model. To me the Chimaera heater controls and brass eyeball vents add nothing over the originals and the pepper-pot rear lights don't work with the Griffith rear end design - the original rebated light cluster was a design feature that neatly picked up on the leading edge of the doors. Other than the fact that they are newer I see no real advantage.

Yes I agree as well, given the choice I'd rather have an original 4.3BV pre cat. The SEs have always commanded a hefty premium over standard Griff for some reason.

I remember when the SE's came out the dealers just couldn't shift them at list price either.

I don't like the SE rear lights either, frankly, they look bloody awful, but like the last 50 E Types ( 1975 ) ( which incidentally were down on power compared to a pre 73 E Type, the last Griffs have been hyped to buggery.
