Over the last two days my Cerbera has had a full paint correction detail done by Adam from Glossy Autos. https://www.facebook.com/GlossyAutos?ref=stream&am... (No affiliation, just a happy customer).

Now I always thought that my Cerb's paintwork was in good condition... That was until I saw it under a lamp and could see that the whole car was covered in thousands of tiny scratches. Adams commitment and attention to detail is second to none.

Anyway onto some photos, the paint correction achieved is 98% fault free and looks amazing!

Thanks for the comments, the pictures really don't do it justice. The colour is now alot deeper and vivid and you can clearly see the fleck in the metallic. The drivers door had quite a few really bad scratches on it that I was convinced was going to have to be resprayed to get rid of. Now I cant see the slightest trace of a scratch even under a lamp so I am definitely quids in in that respect. smile

I've spent the last couple of months refurbing the exterior of my Cerb. Its had a full new wiper set from Leven as the old ones had some rust on them and I've had the badges refurbed by a PHer which now look like new. Now, other than a couple stonechips on the front and a scratch on the rear quarter you'd think its been resprayed.

I'll stick her into a bodyshop after the Wales trip to sort out the scratch as I'm bound to get a few chips out there.

Next step is the interior...

Hi Lee,

Lovely looking paint work. What colour is it? I think I have the same colour and have just (successfully) ordered a touch up paint kit - after having great difficulty tracking down the correct colour match.

Stunning and have a good day

Thanks.

The colour is Ford Imperial Blue... but I'm having trouble finding a garage that can match it as it has a fleck of added purple and a tinted topcoat apparently.

What is the Paintcode of the touchup paint you've got?

Hiya,

Mine is - as stated on the VIN plate Cosmos blue, code P422 - 8AL6B. Tried getting it checked at a paint shop via scanner but the fleck over rides the true colour - frustration but hopefully I have it sorted now and the paint should be arriving in the next couple of days. Must admit mine looks awfully like yours though!.

Ford Imperial Blue is my fave colour. Always thought I would end up with an Escort Cosworth in it, but got a silver Cerb instead!

Lovely shiny car!

Paint correction detailing is done using different stages of polishing compound to remove defects no spraying envolved meaning no paint matching is needed biggrin stunning results there pal smile
