Just thought I'd pimp my gig tomorrow night!!

I'm playing my saxes in a 4 piece funk band at the Zanzibar Rooms on St. Nicholas Street tomorrow night, from 9 onwards (I think!)

Should be great - the guy playing Hammond Organ plays with Pee Wee Ellis' band at the moment (so I'm led to believe)- who's one of the guys out of James Brown - the Godfather's - horn section.

On another topic - does anyone know what parking is like around there, or even what the place itself is like - I've never been there!

Parking round St Nick's street is pretty cr*p, there's an NCP on Queen Charlotte Street just off of Baldwin Street which is close by but it's expensive, even at night.

Most of the meters are free after 6'ish I think (don't quote me on that...) so you might just want to trawl around for one BUT thursday nights are quite big in Bristol and you may not want to park your car on a meter kerbside if you value it's paintwork.

Have you posted this on the PH South West Forum? You'll probably get a better result.

You could park the other side of Bristol Bridge just beyond the Fleece & Firkin where parking is free - it's only 5 minute walk to St Nicks street. If you pass the Fleece pop in and say hello cuz I'm in there seeing Whole Lotta Led
